Chris Collins (@coach_collins) is the Head Basketball Coach at Northwestern University. Before arriving, Collins spent 13 years as an assistant coach for Duke University, where he had starred as a player. He also worked closely with the USA Men's Basketball teams that won Olympic Gold Medals in 2008 and 2012.

In this clip, Collins emphasizes the importance of adjusting your coaching style to fit the needs of your players. Being flexible and open to other coaching styles based on the roster and time of the season can help you connect with your athletes. This flexibility is important, since as Collins says here "The essence of coaching is to take the guys that you have and make them to be the best they can be."
