For the second year, the AAU Summer Classic Presented by Underrated Athletes will be heading to Fort Mill, South Carolina
Underrated Athletes Presents the AAU Summer Classic
Dates: July 7-9, 2023
Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina
FORT MILL, S.C. (2023) – For the second year in a row, the AAU Summer Classic, Presented by Underrated Athletes, will be bringing athletes to Fort Mill, South Carolina. Boys and Girls basketball teams will be looking to walk off the court with some new championship hardware.
Hosted in Fort Mill, the Underrated Athletes Presents the AAU Summer Classic is a basketball tournament for 3rd – 8th Grade teams from all over. For the first year, Girls Basketball will be represented at the event as well.
Last year saw 40 teams travel from Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. This year, with more courts added, the event is expected to bring in 60 teams from all over the country.
AAU Championship medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners. Media coverage and scouting services will be provided at the tournament.
Visit York County and Discover South Carolina will be sponsoring the event. In addition, Paramount Carowinds Amusement Park will be giving 40 % discount theme park tickets to teams who participate.
